The first burn: the golden rule
Always allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container during the very first use. This establishes a full melt pool and prevents tunneling, ensuring an even burn for the life of your KandlesbyKellie candle.
Avoiding the tunnel
The most common mistake is neglecting the first burn. If the wax doesn't melt to the edges on the first burn, it creates a "memory ring." Subsequent burns will follow this ring, causing the candle to tunnel and wasting wax. Avoid this by ensuring a full melt pool on the initial burn.
Safety first
